New article aims to prevent courtroom trauma to children

The National Child Protection Training Center has announced a collaboration with the National Center for the Prosecution of Child Abuse for the production of an article: A Courtroom for All:  Creating Child and Adolescent-Fair Courtrooms. The article, authored by Allie Phillips and Susanne Walters, addresses the fact that many abused children suffer further trauma when they enter a court system that fails to take into account their unique needs.and their plight as children. Courtroom and legal professionals may not be aware of the effects of their actions on these children. A link to the article can be found here. The National Center for the Prosecution of Child Abuse is a program of the National District Attorneys Association. You may learn more about the organization here.
