The rights of injured workers are at risk: CJG calls on you to act now

New legislation has been proposed that would dramatically change North Carolina’s Workers’ Compensation Laws, stripping workers of the legal protection they require when injured on the job. The new bill seriously limits the workers’ access to medical care and changes the protections workers have when they are looking for work. Injured workers would have to wait as long as 60 days after filing a medical motion to get treatment. The wait for a decision on medical treatment would be longer than the wait under socialized medicine in Canada AND longer than under Obamacare!

Legislators on a regulatory committee are scheduled to vote on the bill at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 27. On behalf of injured workers across the state, we urge you to email, call or visit these representatives and let them know this bill is unacceptable.

Find out who represents you and how to contact them here.
