A few highlights of Valerie Johnson’s professional accomplishments include:
- Election to the National Academy of Social Insurance,
- Chairperson of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice Workers’ Compensation Committee, and

Ms. Johnson also serves as adjunct faculty teaching trial advocacy at The University of North Carolina School of Law and has taught workers’ compensation at Wake Forest University School of Law.
