Valerie Johnson’s new edition of North Carolina Workers’ Compensation Law: A Practical Guide to Success At Every Stage of a Claim is now available. Valerie Johnson edited this edition with Gina Cammarano of Farah and Cammarano. The hefty 21-chapter workers’ compensation guide is 740 pages of discussion of the law and cases, but an E-book is a lighter option. North Carolina Workers’ Compensation Law is written by NC Workers’ Compensation specialists, workers’ compensation judges, and other decision-makers who know every part of a claim, from injury to medical treatment and settlement or court decision.

This guide provides the answer to the burning question: what do I need to know about North Carolina Worker’s Compensation law? Chapters include a discussion of new medical compensation rules, causation and the burden of proof, hearings before the Industrial Commission, practice before the Executive Secretary’s office, and much more.

This third edition was thoroughly updated for 2017 and beyond. It is a must-have for every North Carolina lawyer that represents injured workers. The changes in the workers’ compensation rules in North Carolina have meant changes to what injured workers, and their lawyers, can expect.

Published by LexisNexis and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, you can order the book or eBook.
